Creating a Policy for a New SMTP Domain

In addition to modifying the policy for the * domain, you can create other policies for specific SMTP domains.

For example, you want to communicate with a business partner who has an SMTP domain named contoso.com, and you want to allow out-of-office replies to be sent to this domain, but not to other external domains. You can create a new policy for the contoso.com domain that does exactly that. Because Exchange uses the SMTP policy that most closely matches the SMTP domain, all messages sent to Contoso users use the policy for the Contoso domain, but messages sent to any other SMTP domain use the default policy for the * domain.
