Exchange-Related Attributes on User, Group, and Contact Objects

The Exchange-related attributes are associated to user, inetOrgPerson, group, and contact class objects. These attributes are listed according to each Exchange tab within the Active Directory Users and Computers Microsoft Management Console MMC snap-in.

By granting an Exchange Administrator Read and Write access to the attributes that are associated with the tabs listed below, the administrator can perform a particular function (for example, manage e-mail addresses).

It is possible to be more granular in granting permissions. For example, the Exchange Administrator may be granted the ability to modify only the attributes that are associated with a particular function on the tab (for example, Delivery Restrictions).
