Topic Last Modified: 2006-09-18
Use the Move Schedule page to specify when you want to start the mailbox move. You can start the mailbox move immediately or specify a specific date and time.
You can also specify the maximum amount of time that the move is allowed to run, after which the move is automatically canceled.
You can specify the following schedule options.
- Start the mailbox move
Immediately If you want the task to start immediately after you confirm your settings, select Immediately.
Note: The move will not begin when you click Next. On the next wizard page, you must first confirm the settings you made in the wizard before you start the move process.
At the following time If you want the task to start at a specific date and time, click this button, and then specify the date and time to start the task. For example, if you are moving several mailboxes, you may want to perform the mailbox move when there is less demand for server and network resources, or when the move will have less of an impact on the user's productivity. By default, the date and time are set to the current date and time. This default automatically updates to the current date and time when you change any options on this page. To change the date, click the drop-down arrow and select the date from the calendar. To change the time, click the up or down arrows, or type a time in the box.
- Cancel tasks that are still running after (hours)
Select this check box to specify the length of time (in hours) that the mailbox move is allowed to run before it is cancelled. When the task is cancelled, the mailbox that is being moved will be rolled back so that it is not moved from the source location. Any mailboxes that have already moved will remain at the target location.
Note: The number range for this box is from 1 through 48.
For information about the canceled move, see the "Exchange Migration" events in Event Viewer.
