Get-AntispamUpdates

Applies to: Exchange Server 2010

Use the Get-AntispamUpdates cmdlet to determine the type of Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server anti-spam updates that are retrieved. You can use the Enable-AntispamUpdates and Disable-AntispamUpdates cmdlets to set the mode by which the anti-spam updates are retrieved on a computer that has the Edge Transport server role or the Hub Transport server role installed.

Note

The Forefront Security for Exchange Server update service polls Microsoft Update hourly to download updates or determine whether the opt-in status has changed. Therefore, it can take up to one hour for the opt-in action to be reflected in your system. If you want to verify the modified opt-in status immediately, restart the Microsoft Exchange Anti-spam Update service.

Syntax

Get-AntispamUpdates [-Identity <ServerIdParameter>] [-Confirm [<SwitchParameter>]] [-DomainController <Fqdn>] [-WhatIf [<SwitchParameter>]]

Parameters

Parameter Required Type Description

Confirm

Optional

System.Management.Automation.SwitchParameter

The Confirm switch causes the command to pause processing and requires you to acknowledge what the command will do before processing continues. You don't have to specify a value with the Confirm switch.

DomainController

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Fqdn

The DomainController parameter specifies the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the domain controller that retrieves data from Active Directory. The DomainController parameter isn't supported on the Edge Transport server role. The Edge Transport server role reads only from the Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) instance.

Identity

Optional

Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ServerIdParameter

The Identity parameter specifies the server that retrieves the anti-spam updates from Microsoft Update. If no server is specified, settings are displayed for all servers.

WhatIf

Optional

System.Management.Automation.SwitchParameter

The WhatIf switch instructs the command to simulate the actions that it would take on the object. By using the WhatIf switch, you can view what changes would occur without having to apply any of those changes. You don't have to specify a value with the WhatIf switch.
