The Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Management Pack for Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) monitors the Windows Application log on computers that are running Exchange Server 2007 and generates this alert when the event or events specified in the following Details table are logged.
To learn more about this event, do one or more of the following:
Review the description of the event that includes the variables specific to your environment. From the MOM Operator Console, select this alert, and then click the Properties tab.
Review all events that have been logged that meet the criteria of this MOM alert. From the MOM Operator Console, click the Events tab, and then double-click the event in the list for which you want to review the event description.

Explanation
This Error event indicates that the process specified in the event description encountered a general error during its ordinary operation.
User Action
To determine the cause of this error, follow these steps:
Increase diagnostic logging so that you can determine which attributes or properties contain invalid values. Specifically, increase the diagnostic logging level on the Validation counter of the MSExchangeADAccess performance object. You can increase logging by running the following Exchange Management Shell cmdlet: Set-EventLogLevel MSExchangeADAccess\Validation -Level High. For detailed information about how to increase logging, see How to Change Logging Levels for Exchange Processes.
Important After you have completed troubleshooting this issue, return logging to the default level by running the following cmdlet: Set-EventLogLevel MSExchangeADAccess\Validation -Level Lowest.
You can also change the logging level by editing the registry as described here:
Incorrectly editing the registry can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Problems resulting from editing the registry incorrectly may not be able to be resolved. Before editing the registry, back up any valuable data.
Start Registry Editor (regedit).
Locate the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeADAccess\Diagnostics
In the results pane, change the Value data of the General key to 5.
Exit Registry Editor.
Important
After you have completed troubleshooting this issue, return logging to the default level by running the following cmdlet: Set-EventLogLevel MSExchangeADAccess\Validation -Level Lowest.
Review other related Error and Warning events in the Application log. These related events may help you find the root cause of this Error event.
