The Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Management Pack for Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) monitors the Windows Application log on computers that are running Exchange Server 2007 and generates this alert when the event or events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Explanation
This Error event indicates that a failure occurred while starting the storage group specified in the event description. The event description also contains the extended information about the cause this failure. Generally, this event may occur when any one of the following conditions is true:
There was a problem starting the Microsoft® Exchange Server database engine.
The specified storage group is a recovery storage group. Additionally, there is a recovery storage group already running on this server.
The server that is running Exchange Server cannot read the common name of the specified storage group from the Active® Directory directory service.
