MOM Rule Name

Unable to read database header - database may have moved, or data was moved or was missing during recovery. Information from subsequent transaction logs will not apply to the database.

Explanation

This Warning event indicates that the database engine is unable to read the database header. The database may have moved and therefore may no longer be where the logs expect it to be. Data could be missing or was moved during recovery of the database.

User Action

If this database was restored from online backup, the recovery process will automatically try to correct this problem. If this error occurs, the correction was unsuccessful, and information from subsequent transaction logs will not be applied to the database.

If this database was restored from a file copy or offline backup, you may be able to correct this problem by using eseutil /r and specifying the new database path. You must restore the database again to redo recovery when this error occurs.
