The Restore-StorageGroupCopy cmdlet failed to complete.

Explanation

The Information event indicates that the Microsoft Exchange Replication Service failed to perform the Restore-StorageGroupCopy operation successfully. The operation could have failed for the following reasons:

  • Backup is in progress

  • The status of the storage group copy is online

  • The storage group does not contain a database

  • The database is in the process of seeding

  • The database copy is not in a healthy state

  • The storage group contains a public folder and public folder replication is turned on

In a local continuous replication environment (LCR), the administrator needs to make sure that all the log files are in the passive node before making it active. When the event occurs in a cluster continuous replication environment (CCR), automatic failover to the passive node will not occur. The Restore-StorageGroupCopy in a CCR environment is a manual operation for intentionally switching over to the passive copy when all log files cannot be copied and the passive node can mount with some data loss.

For more information about Restore-StorageGroupCopy, see Restore-StorageGroupCopy.
