Intercompany master scheduling (class form)

Click Master planning > Periodic > Intercompany master scheduling.

Use this dialog box to run intercompany master scheduling. The program calculates requirements and generates planned intercompany orders across several internal companies.

General

Scheduling helpers

Enter the parameters needed to set up scheduling helpers. The scheduling helpers perform parallel processing in intercompany master scheduling.

Batch

The batch tab is used to queue jobs for batch processing. For more information, see Submit a batch processing job from a form

Description

Intercompany planning group

Select the name of the intercompany planning group for inclusion in intercompany master scheduling.

Number of

Enter the number of master scheduling iterations that you want performed during each master scheduling run. For each iteration, each intercompany company is scheduled according to the sequence that is defined in the Scheduling sequence field. A maximum of 30 iterations is possible.

First iteration

Select the master scheduling method to use for the first iteration. The options are as follows:

  • Regeneration – Deletes existing planned orders and generates new planned orders based on all known requirements.

  • Net change – Generates planned orders to cover only new or changed requirements that have occurred since the last master scheduling run. However, action and futures dates are updated for all requirements. This option is available only if you calculate a dynamic master plan.

  • Net change minimized – Generates planned orders, together with action and futures dates, to cover only new or changed requirements that have occurred since the last master scheduling run. This option is available only if you calculate a dynamic master plan.

Subsequent iterations

Select the master scheduling method to use for later iterations. The options are as follows:

  • Regeneration – Deletes existing planned orders and generates new planned orders based on all known requirements.

  • Net change – Generates planned orders to cover only new or changed requirements that have occurred since the last master scheduling run. However, action and futures dates are updated for all requirements. This option is available only if you calculate a dynamic master plan.

  • Net change minimized – Generates planned orders, together with action and futures dates, to cover only new or changed requirements that have occurred since the last master scheduling run. This option is available only if you calculate a dynamic master plan.

Track process task duration

Select this check box to record the processing time for each master planning task.

Number of helpers

Enter the maximum number of scheduling helpers to use. The actual number that is used depends on the number of available batch threads among the batch servers.
