Operations Manager 2007 Create Rule Wizard: WMI Configuration Page

Use this page to specify the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) namespace name, Windows Management Instrumentation Query Language (WQL) query, and frequency that the query runs. Results of the query define the Management Pack object attribute. For more information, see the WMI Web site (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=72142).

This page contains the elements described in the following table.

Name Description

WMI Namespace

Displays the WMI namespace that the query runs against.

For example, root\cimv2

Query

Displays the WQL query that you enter.

For example: select * from _instancemodificationevent within 10 where targetinstance isa ‘win32_service’ and targetinstance.name = ‘spooler’

Query Interval

Indicates how often the WMI query runs.
