Resetting the Client Security management pack

When you install Client Security, it applies a management pack to the MOM server that runs on the Client Security collection server. If you need to reset the Client Security management pack rules to their default values, use the following procedure.

Procedure

To reset the Client Security management pack rules to default values

  1. On the collection server, open the MOM Administrator console.

  2. Under Console Root, double-click Microsoft Operations Manager, right-click Management Packs, and then click Import/Export Management Pack.

  3. When the Management Pack Import/Export wizard appears, click Next.

  4. Select the Import Management Packs and/or reports button and click Next.

  5. In the text box, enter the path to the SecurityMP.akm file. The default location of this file is:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Forefront\Client Security\Server

  6. Under Types of Import, select Import Management Packs only and click Next.

  7. Select SecurityMP.akm, click Next, and then click Finish.

  8. When the import completes, click Close.

    The Client Security management pack is reset to its default values.
