Douglas Steen

Douglas Steen is a technical trainer, architect, consultant, and author who focuses on Microsoft products and integration technologies. Doug has been designing and creating hardware and software solutions since 1975. He has created many large-scale messaging and network infrastructure designs for Fortune 100 organizations and government agencies, such as J.P. Morgan, NBC, E.I. Dupont, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

As an author, Doug has developed a number of certified training courses for companies such as Microsoft, IBM, and Honeywell. These courses focused on various aspects of design and deployment. Beyond writing courses, Doug has written several books and Web-based content. Most recently, Doug wrote most of the IIS 6.0 Deployment Guide for Microsoft Press and a series of white papers for Microsoft on Active Directory-secured design, deployment, and operations. When Doug is not working, he can be found climbing mountains or careening down trails on a mountain bike.
