Stage 2: Specifying Setup Parameters

In this stage of running the Internet Explorer 7 Customization Wizard, you can download the most up-to-date version of Internet Explorer 7, identify other components to include in the package, and specify installation defaults.

This stage contains the following pages:

  • Automatic Version Synchronization. Specify the location for Internet Explorer and download it. In Internet Explorer 7 and in Internet Explorer Administration Kit 7 (IEAK 7), the browser is a single component instead of a collection of several components, so the download process is simplified.

  • Add Custom Components. Specify the details for components, including custom components or Microsoft components, that you want to include in the custom package in addition to Internet Explorer.

  • Corporate Install Options. For the Corporate version only: Specify settings for the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, the default browser, uninstallation, and Internet Explorer updates.

Note

To properly run IEAK 7, you must have Internet Explorer 7 installed.
