Installation (Analysis Services - Multidimensional Data)
Analysis Services and data mining features are installed together through the SQL Server Setup program when you specify the Analysis Services feature in SQL Server Setup. For more information about how to plan for an installation or run setup, see SQL Server Installation (SQL Server 2008 R2).
Optionally, you can install additional instances of Analysis Services on the same physical server, including an instance of Analysis Services in SharePoint integrated mode to support of multidimensional data sets that were created by using PowerPivot for Excel.
