High Availability (Database Engine)
SQL Server 2008 R2
This section contains information about administrating several Microsoft SQL Server high-availability solutions that improve the availability of servers or databases. A high-availability solution masks the effects of a hardware or software failure and maintains the availability of applications so that the perceived downtime for users is minimized.
Contains information about the interoperation of high-availability features, including failover clustering, database mirroring, and log shipping, both with each other and with other SQL Server features such as replication, database snapshot, and full-text catalogs.
