Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

When you disable a device driver, no Configuration Manager 2007 client computers can install the disabled device driver. You can disable a device driver if a newer version is available or if you want to temporarily suspend the device driver's availability.

ImportantImportant
If a current operating system deployment is in progress, some of the target computers may still be able to install the device driver after the device driver has been disabled.

The driver that will be disabled is displayed in the window as well as its associated Name, Provider, and Class information.
