Connecting to Another Computer

Connecting to Another Computer

When an administrator creates a group and adds computers to it, that information is stored on the local computer, and all management for that group is handled through that local computer. Using Microsoft Management Console (MMC), however, the administrator can manage services on another computer in a Microsoft Speech Server (MSS) domain without reconstructing the deployment topology.

To Connect to Another Computer

  1. Open the MMC Administration console. (For instructions, see Administering Speech Server Using MMC.)

  2. In the console tree, right-click Microsoft Speech Server and then click Connect to another machine.

  3. In the Server Name field, enter the name of the computer you want to connect to, and then click OK.

Upon connection, the name of the connected computer appears in parentheses in the console tree.

  4. To return to the local computer, repeat steps 2 and 3, and enter localhost in the Server Name field.
