Administering Speech Server Using MMC

Microsoft Management Console (MMC) provides a UI console with a snap-in component that enables an administrator to manage Microsoft Speech Server (MSS). The topics in this section explain how to administer MSS through the MMC snap-in. MSS can also be administered through Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) scripting. For more information, see Administering Speech Server Using WMI.

To open the MMC Administration console for MSS

1. Click Start.

2. Select All Programs, Microsoft Speech Server 2004, and then click MSS Management Console.

   Note  If you do not have Administrator rights on the computer you are using to open MMC, you will be prompted to enter a valid Administrator ID and password.
