Installing Microsoft Internet Explorer

Installing Microsoft Internet Explorer

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 is required by Microsoft Speech Server (MSS). The Prerequisites screen of the Speech Server Setup wizard detects the presence of Internet Explorer and whether an existing installation is the version required by MSS.

If the required version of the Internet Explorer is found, green checkmark - prerequisite software foundappears on the Prerequisites screen next to the Internet Explorer listing. No additional action is required for this prerequisite.

If an installation of Internet Explorer is not found, or an incorrect version is found, red circle with an X - prerequisite software not foundappears on the Prerequisites screen next to the Internet Explorer listing. When the link in the listing is clicked, Setup launches the existing version of Internet Explorer to the Microsoft Internet Explorer web page, where the most recent version of the installer can be downloaded.

Note  Internet Explorer must be installed prior to beginning the MSS installation to successfully complete Setup. Installing Internet Explorer may require rebooting the computer.
