Enable Dynamic Load Balancing Support

This procedure describes how to enable a COM+ component to support dynamic load balancing for CLB. While the component must be installed on both the Web or COM+ routing cluster and the COM+ application cluster, you must only enable dynamic load balancing support for the component on the Web or COM+ routing cluster. You must disable dynamic load balancing support for the component on the COM+ application cluster.

To enable support for dynamic load balancing

  1. In the Component Services snap-in, right-click the component on which to enable support for dynamic load balancing, and then click Properties.

The component Properties dialog box appears.

  2. Click the Activation tab.

  3. Select the Component supports dynamic load balancing check box, and then click OK.

  4. Restart the COM+ Component Load Balancing Service.
