CD-ROM System Requirements

To use the Microsoft Application Center 2000 Resource Kit CD-ROM, you need a computer equipped with the following minimum configuration:

  • PC with Pentium-compatible 400 MHz or higher processor. 

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Service Pack 1 or later, or Windows 2000 Datacenter Server operating system. 

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Pre-Service Pack 2 Components (available by running setup.hta from the Application Center 2000 CD). 

  • A minimum of 256 MB of RAM is recommended. 

  • Application Center 2000 requires 110 MB of available hard-disk space to install services; additional space is required for site content and databases. To install all of the resource kit tools, your system requires 65 MB of available hard-disk space. 

  • CD-ROM drive. 

  • Two Network Interface Cards (one NIC supported). If using Windows 2000 Network Load Balancing, two NICs are required. 

  • Windows 2000–compatible video graphics adapter with 800 x 600 minimum resolution. 

  • Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device. 

  • Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0 must be installed and enabled as part of the Windows 2000 installation. 

Actual requirements will vary based on your system configuration and the applications and features you choose to install.
