What is on this CD?

This Service Pack CD contains:

The Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 installation files (in \i386).

  • The Service Pack 1 documentation, including the Readme for Service Pack 1 (ReadMeSP.htm).

    ReadMeSP.htm contains important information about installing and using Service Pack 1. Please consult it before installing this Service Pack.

    For instructions on installing Service Pack 1 across multiple systems, see the SPDeploy.doc.

  • Additional Windows components can be installed as needed from the \ValueAdd folder.

    The \ValueAdd folder on this CD contains Terminal Services Advanced Client (TSAC), which is a Win32 ActiveX control that can be used to run Terminal Services sessions within Internet Explorer. Management tools that use the TSAC's capabilities are also provided.

    Important: The Terminal Services Client is not part of the Service Pack 1 installation; it must be installed separately. For more information about using and installing TSAC, see the Readme.

  • Debug Symbol files, which are used to diagnose application and computer crashes. Debug Symbol files are not required for proper operation of your computer.
