To configure Time to Live for downloaded cache content

  1. In the console tree of ISA Server Management, click Cache.

  2. In the details pane, click the Content Download Jobs tab, and then select the applicable content download job.

  3. On the Tasks tab, click Edit the Selected Job.

  4. To override the Time to Live (TTL) for an object, click the Cache tab, and then select Override object's TTL.

  5. If the TTL is not defined, to override the TTL for an object, select Set TTL if not defined in response.

  6. To configure a specific TTL for the downloaded objects, type a TTL in Mark downloaded objects with a new TTL (minutes).

Note

To open ISA Server Management, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft ISA Server, and then click ISA Server Management.
For ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Arrays, expand Array_Name, expand Configuration, and then click Cache.
For ISA Server 2006 Standard Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Server_Name, expand Configuration, and then click Cache.

Important

If you select Override object's TTL, the TTL will be determined either by the TTL specified or by the TTL specified in the cache configuration properties.
