Important

After the primary Configuration Storage server is unavailable for 30 minutes, ISA Server switches to an alternate Configuration Storage server, if it is specified. After using the alternate Configuration Storage server for 6 hours, ISA Server periodically checks if the primary Configuration Storage server is available. After the primary server is available for 10 minutes, the array switches to the primary Configuration Storage server. The times specified in this procedure are the defaults. They can be configured using the ISA Server Software Development Kit (SDK). For a sample script that configures these defaults, see Setting Configuration Storage Server Delay Times at the Microsoft TechNet Web site(https://www.microsoft.com/).
If the alternate server is unavailable for thirty minutes, the array will switch to the primary Configuration Storage server, if it is available.
