Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM) 2007 includes DPM Administrator Console, a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in that serves as the central management tool for DPM. DPM Administrator Console enables you to configure data protection, recover protected data, monitor protection activities, and generate reports about DPM operations.

Note

DPM 2007 provides its own DPM Management Shell that you can install on computers other than the DPM server, enabling you to administer multiple DPM servers remotely. DPM Management Shell provides interactive task-based cmdlets and scripts for access to DPM data and operations.
