Note

For more information about link translation, see Link Translation Concepts in ISA Server 2006 at the Microsoft ISA Server TechCenter Web site (https://www.microsoft.com).
To open ISA Server Management, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft ISA Server, and then click ISA Server Management.
For ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Arrays, expand Array_Name, and then click General.
For ISA Server 2006 Standard Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Server_Name, and then click General.

Important

Use the link redirection feature when you want users who request an unpublished site to be redirected to a specific URL rather than receiving an error.
By default, link translation only operates on request responses that include a MIME or file type specified in the HTML Documents content type. By default, the HTML Documents content type specifies the MIME types (text/css, text/html, and text/webviewhtml) and file extensions (.htm, .html, .htt, .stm, and .xsl).
For ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition, link translation makes use of the settings in the content types for the Enterprise Policy to determine whether it needs to perform translation on the body of the message. To review or modify these Content Types, do one of the following tasks:
If using ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition, in the ISA Server Management console tree, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Enterprise, and then click Enterprise Policies. In the right pane, click Toolbox, and then select Content Types.
If using ISA Server 2006 Standard Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Server_Name, and then click Firewall Policy. In the right pane, click Toolbox, and then select Content Types.
In order to avoid creating a vulnerability to cross-site scripting attacks, we recommend that you use the sample error page provided with ISA Server or one based on the sample error page.
