FW_FTPCacheRule

To configure FTP caching for a cache rule

  1. In the console tree of ISA Server Management, click Cache.

  2. In the details pane, click the Cache Rules tab and select the applicable cache rule.

  3. On the Tasks tab, click Edit Selected Rule.

  4. On the FTP tab, select the Enable FTP caching check box.

  5. To specify how long the FTP objects should remain in the cache, in Time-to-Live for FTP objects, type a number. Select a time unit from the drop-down list box: Seconds, Minutes, Hours, Days, or Weeks.

Note

To open ISA Server Management, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft ISA Server, and then click ISA Server Management.
For ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Arrays, expand Array_Name, expand Configuration, and then click Cache.
For ISA Server 2006 Standard Edition, expand Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, expand Server_Name, expand Configuration, and then click Cache.

Important

To reset FTP expiration policy to equal importance, click Restore Defaults.
When you disable FTP caching for all cache rules, ISA Server allocates cache memory. To stop ISA Server from allocating memory, set the cache size to 0.
