Configuration Manager Management Point Location Data Flow: Native Mode

This data flow displays the process by which Configuration Manager 2007 clients locate their default management point, when their assigned site is operating in native mode.

If the Active Directory schema has been extended for SMS 2003 but not extended for Configuration Manager 2007, clients can additionally find a server locator point in Active Directory Domain Services, and management point assignment succeeds.
