Infrastructure Requirements and Prerequisites of QoE Monitoring Server

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

Before you begin developing your custom solution, ensure that you have deployed your QoE Monitoring Server and that it is operational. For details about QoE Monitoring Server, see the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Quality of Experience Monitoring Server Guide.

At the end of each call, the unified communications (UC) endpoints send an A/V (audio/video) metric report to the QoE Monitoring Server. If the QoE Monitoring Server is properly configured, it will, in turn, transmit the report to your custom solution (metric report consumer) by using HTTP POST, as shown in Figure 1. For each QoE Monitoring Server in your organization, only one metric report consumer can be configured.
