32-bit Operating System Support
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.
Office Communications Server 2007 is compatible with the operating systems identified in this section. For operating system support for the Live Communications Server 2005 with SP1 release, see the Live Communications Server 2005 Supportability Guide.
Office Communications Server 2007 is available only in a 32-bit edition. You can, however, run Office Communications Server Standard Edition on 64-bit editions of the Windows Server 2003® operating system by using Windows 32-bit on Windows 64-bit (WOW64) as described in WOW64 Support later in this guide.
