Deployment

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

Deploying your custom solution requires only a few steps.

To deploy your solution

  1. Install an HTTP 1.1 compliant Web server, such as Internet Information Services.

  2. Install your application.

  3. If HTTPS will be used (recommended), install the appropriate certificate on the consumer and, as needed, on the QoE Monitoring Server. For details about configuring certificates on the QoE Monitoring Server, see the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Quality of Experience Monitoring Server Guide.

  4. Configure external consumer settings on the QoE Monitoring Server by using WMI. For details about WMI settings, see WMI Reference.

  5. By default, the QoE Monitoring Server will not use any HTTP proxy. For details about configuring the QoE Monitoring Server to use the configured HTTP proxy, see Enabling or Disabling an HTTP Proxy.
