Publish Database Wizard (Select an Output Location - Provider Configuration)

Use this dialog box to view or modify information about the hostingproviderin the hoster.config file. You can use this dialog box to do the following:

  • View, add, or edit connection information for a hosting provider.

  • View, add, edit, or delete databases for a hosting provider.

  • Automatically configure databases for a hosting provider.

  • Name
    Enter a name for the hosting provider.

  • Web service address
    Enter the HTTPS address for the hosting provider.

  • Web service authentication
    Enter the predetermined user name and passwordfor the hosting provider.

  • Save password
    Select to encrypt and save the password to the hoster.config file.

  • Available databases
    Databases that are configured for hosting providers are listed in ascending order in the format: server_name.database_name.

  • New
    Click to open the Database configuration dialog box and add a new database.

  • Edit
    Click to open the Database configuration dialog box for the selected database.

  • Delete
    Click to delete the selected database.

  • Set as default
    Select the selected database as the default.

  • OK
    Select to save all changes that you made in this dialog box to the hoster.config file and return to the wizard.

  • Cancel
    Select to undo all changes that you made in this dialog box and return to the wizard.
