Chapter 9 - Event Logs

The Event Logs section of the Navigation area lets you review the various logs maintained by the AEM. These logs include:

Alerts

Log of all Alerts sent by the AEM.

Deployment

Log of all Deployment Job activity.

General Options

Log of all General Options Job activity.

Log Retrieval

Log of all Log Retrieval Job activity.

Manual Scan

Log of all Manual Scan Job activity.

Redistribution Log

Log of all Signature Redistribution activity

Alert Log

Click Alerts (in the Event Logs area); the Alert Log work pane is displayed, displaying all the Alerts sent by the AEM (showing the Host Name, the Date/Time, and the Message). To limit the display to a specific host, select it in the Host Name field.

Notification Logs

Click Notification Logs (in the Event Logs area); the Notification Logs work pane is displayed. Select the type of log you would like to see, using the list in the Job Type field.

Once the job type is selected, the log information is displayed in the lower portion of the work pane. The display may be limited to a specific Job Name or Host Name, if desired (the default for each field is All). If you select either a specific job name or host name (or both), click Apply Filters to see only the data corresponding to your choice. Filtering simply eliminates items from the data display; it does not change the original data itself.
