How to Connect a Server to a LAN or a SAN in the Model Editor

Perform one of the following Model Editor procedures to connect a server to a LAN or a SAN. The server and the LAN or SAN that are being connected must already exist in the capacity model. To connect a server to a LAN in the Model Editor

  1. Navigate to the Site Topology view.

  2. Click a server that you want to connect to a LAN.

  3. In the Current View Actions pane, click Connect server to LAN.

  4. In the Connect server <Servername> to LAN action dialog, enter all required information.

To connect a server to a SAN in the Model Editor

  1. Navigate to the Site Topology view.

  2. Click a server that you want to connect to a SAN.

  3. In the Current View Actions pane, click Connect server to SAN.

  4. In the Connect server <Servername> to SAN action dialog, enter all required information.
