Add a WAN Connection Action Dialog

Use this Model Editor action dialog to add a connection from a perimeter network in the selected site to a WAN.

The following elements appear in the Add a WAN connection action dialog.

  • Site

    • Site Name: The site name is automatically determined by Capacity Planner, based on the site you selected.
    • Perimeter Network: Select the perimeter network that the WAN connects to.
  • WAN
    WAN Name: Select the WAN that connects to the perimeter network. If a WAN is not listed, you can create one using the Add a New WAN Action Dialog in the Global Topology view.
  • Connection Speed

    • Uplink Bandwidth (Site to WAN): Choose the network speed of this connection.
    • Available (%): Enter the percentage of amount of network bandwidth available to this uplink connection. Capacity Planner calculates utilization between sites based upon available network bandwidth.
    • Downlink Bandwidth (WAN to Site): Choose the network speed of this connection.
    • Available (%): Enter the percentage of network bandwidth available to this downlink connection. Capacity Planner calculates utilization between sites based upon available network bandwidth.
