Working with protection groups

Data Protection Manager (DPM) uses protection groups to help you organize and manage the data you protect. A protection group is a collection of data sources (volumes, folders and/or shares) that share the same protection configuration and schedule. To create and maintain protection groups, use the Protection task area in DPM Administrator Console.

What do you want to do?

• Create a new protection group

• Add members to an existing protection group

• Remove members from a protection group

• Rename a protection group

• Modify disk allocation

• Review pending members

• Delete a protection group

• Modify protection options
