How to check job status

Data Protection Manager (DPM) tracks the status of data protection jobs as scheduled, completed, canceled, or failed. In the Monitoring task area, you can check the status of jobs.

To check job status

  1. In DPM Administrator Console, click Monitoring on the navigation bar, and then click the Jobs tab.

  2. In the Group by list box, select Status.

  3. In the Time Period list box, select the time period that you want to review.

    The jobs for the selected time period are displayed, grouped by status.

  4. To review details for a specific job, select the job and refer to the information in the Details pane.

Note

DPM limits how long a job can run before it is completed. For example, the time limit for a synchronization job is approximately 50 minutes. If a job times out, DPM generates an error and the job status is reported as “failed.”
