How to modify the auto discovery schedule

Once each day, DPM queries Active Directory and all currently protected servers to discover changes to the file servers in your network. The default time for auto discovery is 1:00:00 A.M. You can modify this time if you choose.

To modify the auto discovery schedule

  1. On DPM Administrator Console, click the Action menu, and then click Options.

    The Options dialog box is displayed.

  2. On the Auto Discovery tab, select the time of day when you want auto discovery to run.

  3. Click OK.
