Uninstalling MOM Reporting

You can uninstall MOM Reporting by using Add or Remove Programs or by running Setup from the MOM 2005 product CD.

Important

The MSSQLSERVER service must be started before uninstalling MOM Reporting or the process will not complete successfully.

To uninstall MOM Reporting by using Add or Remove Programs

  1. In Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs.

  2. Click Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Reporting, click Remove, and then click Yes.

To uninstall MOM Reporting by using Setup

  1. On the MOM 2005 product CD, double-click setup.exe.

  2. In the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Setup Resources dialog box, click Install Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Reporting to start the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Reporting Setup Wizard.

  3. On the Remove the Program page, click Remove.

When you uninstall MOM Reporting, the MOM Reporting database is not automatically removed. So you do not lose any MOM data in the event that you plan to use the database in some other manner or continue to view reports of the existing data.

If you do not plan to use the MOM Reporting database, you can remove the database manually. To do this, open SQL Server Enterprise Manager and delete the SystemCenterReporting database.
