Upgrading a Client Operating System Can Cause an Advanced Client to Repair Itself
When one of the following operating system upgrade scenario occurs, an Advanced Client automatically repairs itself. This happens when the client starts, immediately after the upgrade. During the repair process, the client makes corrections to its access control lists (ACLs) that were altered during the operating system upgrade.
Windows 2000 to Windows XP
Windows XP to Windows Vista.

Remote Tools Agent is not supported on Windows Vista
The Remote Tools Agent component is disabled on Windows Vista, even if you enable this agent in SMS site settings.
WORKAROUND: You can use Windows Vista built-in Remote Desktop or Remote Assistance to remotely connect to computers running Windows Vista.
