Single Agent Monitoring

This section describes the performance of the MOM agent in terms of CPU utilization and the working set of the MOMService process. The tests were done for different types of rules-Windows NT event log, application log, script execution, and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). For the Windows NT event log provider, the test was run by submitting events to the Windows NT event log at varying rates. The application log provider was tested by generating Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) logs for 10 virtual servers at varying rates. The WMI provider was tested by executing a query at varying rates.
