Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 brings high-performance computing to the desktop and workgroup level in a familiar Windows-based development environment. It provides a high-performance computing platform that is simple to deploy, operate, and integrate with existing infrastructure and tools.

Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 Management Pack

The Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 Management Pack monitors the performance, health, and availability of Windows compute clusters. This management pack includes rules that:

  • Monitor critical Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 services.

  • Capture operational errors.

  • Collect important Windows compute cluster performance counters.

This management pack highlights problems with Windows compute clusters early so that administrators can take action quickly. By collecting and providing views of important performance counters, this management pack increases the ability of cluster administrators to monitor compute cluster performance.

To view the version of the installed management pack

  1. In the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 Administrator Console navigation pane, expand Management Packs, and then expand Rule Groups.

  2. Right-click Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 and then click Properties.

  3. In Rule Group Properties, on the General tab, Version displays the management pack version number.
