Configuring the SMS Status System

You configure the SMS Status System from several locations within the SMS Administrator console. There are four important configuration areas:

  • Status Component configuration

  • Status filter rules

  • Status summarizers

  • Deleting status objects

The order in which you configure these items is not important.

Important

  • Do not attempt to configure the status system until you have used it for a period of time and you are confident that you fully understand the ramifications of changing the various default settings.
