Building Your Deployment Team

Because MOM activities fall into several categories, the number of IT staff members needed to successfully plan, deploy, and administer MOM depends upon many factors. In small implementation projects, one person might fill several roles. In large implementation projects, several people might be assigned to each role. The size and complexity of your organizations MOM architecture will help define the workforce requirements.

The occupation taxonomy in Table 1 is based on the Microsoft Readiness Framework, and it describes the MOM roles and responsibilities to consider when you determine your personnel needs. Once you have identified the personnel that will fill these roles, record them in the table provided in the MOM 2005 Deployment Planning Worksheet.
