Request Sequence Groups

This rule group does not contain any rules or subgroups in a newly-installed Web Sites and Services MP. This group is for storing rule groups for user-defined Request Sequence Groups created by the MP Configuration Wizard.

warning.gif  Warning
You should not manually add or move items in the Request Sequence Groups rule group, or they will be deleted the next time the MP Configuration Wizard runs. Additional notification rules and other custom rules that do not involve Request Sequences should be added to the Common Processing Rules rule group instead.

Web Sites and Services MP Registry Key Entries

The following configurable registry entries exist under the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Web Service Monitoring\1.0\Setup registry key on each computer with the Agent Configuration Components installed.

ExecuteDelay – The delay (in milliseconds) between each call to the Web Sites and Services MP managed code response. The delay is helpful when there are many Request Sequences that coincide on the same monitoring interval.

Type: DWORD

Default: 20

Minimum: 0

Max: 1000

MaximumConcurrentSequences – The maximum number of concurrently processing Request Sequences. The value can be increased, especially for multi-processor computers.

Type: DWORD

Default: 2

Minimum: 1

Maximum: 100

MaximumServicePointIdleTime – The maximum idle time (in milliseconds) before a new connection is created. The idle period is helpful when RST (reset) TCP packets are lost. This entry is used only if the computer has the .NET Framework version 1.1 Service Pack 1 (SP1).

Type: DWORD

Default: 30000

Minimum: 10000

Maximum: 900000

MaximumResponseStorageBytes – The maximum amount (in bytes) of the response stream that is stored and processed. A larger size can be helpful when you are monitoring intranet sites and dynamically generated pages.

Type: DWORD

Default: 262144

Minimum: 1024

Maximum: 1048576
