The task of designing your SMS sites and hierarchy is done during the planning phase, before implementing Microsoft® Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 in your production environment. This chapter includes an overview of SMS hierarchy design and guidelines for designing your SMS sites and arranging them in a hierarchy.
