Document the Backup and Archive Strategy
After you decide which backup and archive strategy to implement in your hierarchy, document the details of that plan so that anyone in your organization can review the plan.
Outline the backup and archive plan of each site in the hierarchy. Outline backup and archive procedures and schedules. List the backup destinations that are shared between multiple sites, and the sites that share them. List the archive destinations that are shared between multiple sites, and the sites that share them. Outline the risks you expect, and how you plan to handle them. You can include other information, such as who decides that a recovery is needed, and who performs them. Include any information that is helpful in your organization.
