Client Discovery and Installation

Clients must first be discovered before they can be installed. SMS uses various discovery methods to locate clients prior to installation. SMS 2003 has both Legacy Client and Advanced Client installation methods. You should appropriately enable, configure, and control client installation methods to avoid imposing an excessive workload on the network or servers.
