Lets an administrator set session management settings for Excel Calculation Services.

This operation is equivalent to the Session Management user interface setting that is located on the Excel Services Settings page of the Shared Services Administration Web site.

stsadm -o set-ecssessionmanagement

   –ssp <SSP name>

   [-maxsessionsperuser <number of sessions>]







A valid SSP name such as "SharedServices1"


The name of the SSP that provides the resources for the Excel Calculation Services you want to configure.


A valid positive integer


Maximum number of sessions allowed per user.

A value of -1 represents no limit of sessions allowed per user.

A value of zero indicates that no sessions are allowed per user.

The default value is 25.
