Deleteconfigdb: Stsadm operation (Windows SharePoint Services)
Updated: September 13, 2007
Applies To: Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
Topic Last Modified: 2007-09-11
Unprovisions the local machine from the farm and deletes the configuration database (but does not drop the configuration database).
The term unprovision means all remnants of a service or site are removed, but information in the content database is still available.
This operation is obsolete and the PSConfig tool should be used in its place. For additional information on PSConfig, see Command-line reference for the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard (Windows SharePoint Services).|
